Research Resources

Rigorous and Innovative research requires access to primary and secondary data sources, whether survey data, statistical data, archival materials or good libraries. The Arab region lacks depositories that collect materials and data in a systematic fashion, and even those that exist are not easily accessible to researchers. The practice of providing research materials and findings online is on the increase, sometimes through the individual and unofficial  efforts of researchers, however it is still very limited. The ACSS plans to address this important problem which impedes the quality and quantity of research in the region and will start with the information and products emerging from its own projects and programs, expanding eventually to collaborations with  other institutions in the region.
